Want your baby cared for in the safety and comfort of your home during those first few precious visits? Dr. Gabriella Dauer, MD offers in-home visits for the first two months of your baby’s life for families in South Florida. All visits are optional, there is no membership fee, and you can transition to a traditional practice at any time.

Newborn visits typically begin with a prenatal visit where Dr. Dauer will review newborn care and safety as well as infant CPR and choking management with the parents and family. Baby’s first medical home visit will occur 1-3 days after baby is discharged from the hospital. Your baby will be fully evaluated and managed at home and continue to be seen for a two week visit and a 1-month visit. Additional medical visits will be scheduled if necessary. Then, baby will be transitioned to a traditional practice for their two month visit and beyond.

Newborn visits include Dr. Dauer’s newborn survival guide and hospital preparation sheet that offers information for mom and dad on how to plan for the hospital stay. Please read this over prior to your baby’s arrival as it includes what to pack in your hospital bag, what items to put on baby’s registry, and all of the basic care needs for baby in those first days.

Newborn visits are priced per visit based on location and start at $250 per visit inclusive of all testing and management. If you would like to schedule all four visits inclusive of the prenatal visit, first newborn visit, 2-week visit, and 1 month visit, a 10% discount will be applied. 

Prenatal Visit will include:

-infant CPR & when to call 911

-feeding (breastfeeding & formula feeding), diapering, & dressing baby

-sleep and swaddling, bathing, umbilical cord care

-environmental and car seat safety

& any other questions you might have about caring for your little one!
